The forest giants in Bernheim Arboretum are constructed completely of wood recycled from local resources – from the forest itself, to wooden pallets, to discards from the Louisville Slugger plant nearby. Charming and whimsical, the trolls make a giant statement about the importance of using our resources and preserving our natural areas. Bernheim Arboretum & Research Forest is located at 2075 Clermont Rd., Clermont, KY 40110 and is open daily from 7 a.m.

The trail surface is a wooden boardwalk (with railings), gravel, or natural surfaces, and A Danish artist created and placed three giant sculptures in an arboretum south of Cincinnati in March, and they're pretty stunning up close. Danmbo built three giants at Bernheim, but spread them out in the forest so you’d have to hike a while to see them. This is Little Nis’s mother Mama Loumari, who’s expecting another baby giant. Deep in the forest you finally find Little Elina, who’s playing marbles with boulders she found lying around. There are giants in Kentucky! Just visit Bernheim Forest right outside of Louisville, Kentucky to visit these three NEW Giants!

Lots of trails for walking and seeing the Forest Giants is awesome. Even with covid social distancing was followed by everyone.
They are expected to remain in place for 3-5 years. This is a beautiful forest with over 40 miles of trails. The trail with the Giants is definitely the most popular. Once we saw all 3 giants, walked around the lake, we took a different trail back to the visitor center.
